Hutto I.S.D. is a 4A district of approximately 5000 students just outside Austin between Taylor and Round Rock. Five elementary campuses, two middle school campuses and one high school campus serve a diverse student body of 15% African Americans, 36% Hispanic and 48% white students.
Once labeled as the fastest growing district in Texas, the district continues to project rapid growth for the next several years. HISD has passed a bond issue to build its second high school and is working with the City of Hutto and the Hutto Economic Development Corporation to shepard the coming growth.
HISD Trustees are looking for an outstanding superintendent who can not only meet the needs of the district now but lead the district into its challenging future.
